An investigation of wave flows around governor's island using hair dynamics in maya.... wave patterns surrounding governor's island in new york were extracted and extended over the island. gravity was altered to produce a negative, neutral, and positive "topography". Other factors such as turbulence were altered to vary the fluctuations of the extended waveforms. The result was a field of complex undulations that may be used to inform the site of the retreat project.
